This topic is kind of random but it struck me because I was gaming the other day and something terrible happened. So here's how the story went down... I was casually playing my online game when suddenly I hear people on the microphone start yelling. Now, for those who don't know, for some people, gaming is a very stressful activity. It's so stressful to the point where if one teammate doesn't do what they're supposed to, another one would yell at them (or in gamer terms, "rage" at them). Now, between guys, I think a little bit of raging in a game or two is fine (it's actually not fine at all). It starts getting out of control when other teammates find that one particular rager (person who rages) blaming everyone for their mistakes not once, not twice, but multiple times per game until someone on their team actually leaves the game because they can't stand it anymore.
Now, with that little introduction to gaming, let's continue where I left off in terms of the terrible event that happened the other day. So, like I said, I was casually gaming when all of a sudden, I hear someone on my team raging. At this point, I didn't think it was anything since raging happens so often. It's when I started listening to who he was talking to which ticked me off. Apparently, in this game, there was also his girlfriend who was playing. Now let me tell you why that's important. According to the game I play, there is a very small percentage of girls/women who play it. It's sorta like the male/female ratio in engineering. You won't find too many females in an engineering class and the few that are, are treated like this (I found this on 9gag):

So in my gaming community, we (the majority) treat all the girls with lots of respect (at least, that's how it should be). But in my situation that I've come across, that one particular rager was yelling at his girlfriend, blaming how she can never do things right over and over again. At first, I let it go because I didn't want to get in between their business. But it kept going on and on and sooner or later, the rest of the teammates told the rager to chill the fuck out and to stop yelling at his girlfriend. That went on for the whole game and we eventually lost.
THE POINT IS... that ungrateful ******* was yelling at his girlfriend.....OVER A GAME. Now here's why I think that's messed up: Your girlfriend is taking time from her own life to spend it playing video games with you. I've only met very few girls who would ever do that for their boyfriends. And now that she ACTUALLY agrees to spend time with you playing games, you YELL AT HER FOR NOT DOING THINGS RIGHT?
A guy shouldn't be yelling at his girl (when it's not necessary and this time, it's REALLY unnecessary). Yelling at your girlfriend will not only get you in more trouble than you started with but she will remember it for the rest of her life (and probably use it against you at some point). In my sexist opinion, I think that guys shouldn't be allowed to get mad at girls, only girls can get mad at guys. Here's why: If you get mad at a girl, she will get mad at you for getting mad at her. This eventually will lead to an argument and according to Chris Rock, women will always win arguments because men are handicapped when it comes to arguments (If you want to see why, click here).
Now don't get me wrong, this does not mean that guys should be scared of their girlfriends, oh no. This also does not mean that she can take advantage of you and yell at you until you snap, but when it does happen, be sure to say something to let her know that it's bothering you (And don't yell at her in the process). People may say you're whipped and that she wears the pants in the relationship, but remember this: There is no man in this world who is scared of their woman; there are only those that respect their woman and their wishes.
