Seasons of Love

Ever wonder if the different seasons of the year affected a person enough to make them want to make or break a relationship? Studies have shown (not really) that the seasons DO in fact affect a person's relationship mood.

Relationship mood - a mysterious unification of a person's feelings, reactions, perceptions, and thoughts about a relationship that decides whether or not they want to start or end a relationship. Relationship mood changes with every season.

*Just to clarify that the theories in this note do not have any evidence to support it. This is more of a fun note and something to enjoy and think about. Anyways, moving on!

Let's start with summer:

image Summer

  • It's hot in the summer. Everyone even looks hotter in the summer (temperature-wise and physically).
  • It's sunny which means most people are happy during this time of the year.
  • There is no school (except those people that take summer school but doesn't matter) which means everyone has lots of free time.
  • With the combination of happiness, hotness and free time that people have, they decide to get into a relationship.

image Autumn (a.k.a fall)

  • Autumn a.k.a fall - literally means fall (of relationship) and not fall (in love).
  • Relationships start to go downhill in this season. Everyone has less time to spend with each other due to school, job, extra-curriculars, etc.
  • Honeymoon phase usually ends here.
  • Sun is out less, ergo people are less happy.

image Winter
(Season of break-ups)

  • Winter is cold. This causes people to become cold to each other.
  • Winter is also dry (you know how you always have to put on hand cream because your hands are so damn dry all the time). This results in people being dry to one another as well.
  • Very little to no sun - people aren't very happy.
  • Cold & dry attitude towards one another + unhappiness causes break-ups.

image Spring
(Season of new beginning)

  • Constant raining is a metaphor for tears after winter (season of break-up).
  • But rain (tears) is the only way for trees to blossom again.
  • The regrowth of leaves represents a person healing after a break-up.
  • Sun begins to shine more meaning people are starting to be happier.
  • Blossoming of flowers represent a person's new chapter in life. They can finally move onto a new beginning.

Conclusion
After spring, the cycle repeats again starting with summer. Someone meets someone new during spring or summer time and the seasons of love starts all over again. Do not be confused - this is not the relationship cycle. Everything in this note about the seasons is a metaphor for love and relationships (except the sun - the sun actually does affect people's moods). Since it is summer right now, I say everyone should go out and have a great time with their friends (and lovers) and enjoy it while we can. Anyway, hope you enjoyed reading and again, if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to leave them below!

Disclaimer: This not was not meant to offend anyone but if it did, I am truly sorry and by no means was that my intention. I really think that I should make a disclaimer post and just link it back to that after every note I write. I'll see...but for the time being, I'll keep writing disclaimers.
